Salzburg Global 3rd Policy Dialogue on Just Energy Transitions
Earlier this month, I had the honor of participating as a fellow in my second Policy Dialogue on Just Energy Transitions: Prosperity Post Fossil Fuels (PPFF), part of Salzburg Global’s Finance and Governance Program.
The 3rd Policy Dialogue brought together policymakers, researchers, and key stakeholders from over 25 oil and gas importing and exporting countries for a cross-national conversation to inform decision making and policy on how to truly achieve prosperity post fossil fuels and meet energy demand.
During the week we discussed how to navigate and finance the global energy transition and support opportunities for economic diversification, international coordination and governance.
Since the last PPFF session in 2025, Omalisa Baldeo and I continued to co-lead the Narratives working group on Just Energy Transition. Narratives are key to how we make the connections between energy, kitchen table conversations, and economic prosperity.
This October, we had an extremely productive and collaborative Narratives conversation with 13 Salzburg Global fellows across 6 narrative categories to help communicate evidence-based messages about a just energy transition. More information soon on progress and next steps.
The Policy Dialogue on Just Energy Transitions is a collaborative effort of Salzburg Global, Climate Strategies, Stanley Center for Peace and Security, and Windward Fund. Thank you!
